The weather wasn't great. There were odd showers, which you can see in the marks the raindrops left in the sky. I think that magnolias are such a strange flower, appearing so boldly on the bare branches on 1st April. The display in Farmleigh was particularly good this year.
Farmleigh is the period house in the Phoenix Park where the Irish State hosts foreign heads of State and diplomats. The gardens are open to the public when security issues allow it.
